toyota_1Japanese Toyota Motor Corporation announced plans to produce by 2012 to 20 000-30 000 vehicles with hybrid engines that can charge batteries from the usual outlets. Thus, the company wants to create serious competition for a new electro-Mitsubishi, which has already been delivered to corporate clients in Japan.

Hybrid (plug-in) Toyota models will be equipped with lithium-ion batteries, developed in conjunction with Panasonic EV Energy. At full charge such a hybrid would be able to overcome a distance of 20-30 kilometers.
